Why this blog?

This blog is a small attempt to bring information about some published Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) and Systematic Reviews (SRs) in Dermatology at one place. In "In a few words" you will find a very brief summary of some of the main conclusions of the research.

By no means information about all published RCTs and SRs will be available here. This is only due to the limitations of the blog administrator in searching the literature. Some or many good quality RCTs and SRs may inadvertently escape the attention, and this is regretted.

In addition, snippets on Evidence-based Medicine (EBM) will be published.

SR on updosing non-sedating antihistamines in patients with chronic spontaneous urticaria
In a few words:
63.2% (95%CI 57 to 69.6) non-respondents with CSU responded to updosing. Updosing significantly controlled pruritus, but not weals.
